Nope, doesn't work.

Hmmph...

set mbox=~/mutt-save

$ mkfifo ~/mutt-save

$ formail -s procmail .mutt-procmailrc < mutt-save & mutt

That works.  Not particularly elegant, though.  And if you forget to
start up the formail before starting mutt, it hangs when you try to
leave.

Maybe I'll motivate myself and write a patch.
