Here is part of my .muttrc file:
----------
mailboxes ! =INBOX =zoot-list =mutt-users =bugtraq {uni00map.unity.ncsu.edu/ssl}INBOX
folder-hook "{uni00map.unity.ncsu.edu/ssl}INBOX" set
folder={uni00map.unity.ncsu.edu/ssl}INBOX
folder-hook . set folder=~/mail
----------
When starting, it gives this error:
Error in /home/mdonaghy/.muttrc, line 25: Invalid content of \{\}
source: errors in /home/mdonaghy/.muttrc
Press any key to continue...
[line 25 is the folder-hook for the imap server]
-----------
If I don't use the foder hooks and set my folders to the imap server
with >>set folder="{uni00map.unity.ncsu.edu:993/ssl}INBOX"<< I can save
stuff to the imap server, but not the local hard disk

In case you haven't looked at my mail headers, I'm using mutt 1.1.12.

If anyone has more ideas of how let me look at & save to folders at
different locations, your response will be greatly appreciated.
