Allow me to read some more from the manual to you, so that you need not

6.3.75. markers
Type: boolean
Default: yes
Controls the display of wrapped lines in the internal pager. If set, a
``+'' marker is displayed at the beginning of wrapped lines. Also see
the ``smart_wrap'' variable.
For extra credit, find the "color markers" section in the manual.
