Firstly, I would like to say I just compiled up mutt 1.0i for the first time and I _love_ it. I will never go back to my old MH again! Mutt sucks _way_ less. Now, with that out of the way, on to the problem :) I compiled mutt on my x86 RedHat-based box, and have used it with PGP 6.5.2 without issue. Spreading the joy of this tool to my office, I compiled it on my Linux PPC with "--enable-imap" to suit my business environment. Everything was just peachy, except when I received a PGP signed messages or encrypted messages. I see the following: ... [-- Attachment #2: ATT182630.ATT --] [-- Type: application/pgp-encrypted, Encoding: 7bit, Size: 0.1K --] [-- application/pgp-encrypted is unsupported (use 'v' to view this part) --] [-- Attachment #3: ATT182631.ATT --] [-- Type: application/octet-stream, Encoding: 7bit, Size: 2.1K --] ... I went back to the code to review the problem. "./configure" was correctly defining _PGPPATH and generating the correct code in parse.c (lines 27 and 835), imap.c (line 1681), and mx.c (line 1332). Short of actively running gdb, I was curious if anybody had seen this problem before. For the record, the .muttrc and system mime.types files are the same with the exception of some minor local configuration changes. It just doesn't make sense that on one system I see, "PGP/MIME," and the other, "application/pgp.* is unsupported," given (almost) the same configuration. I just wish I knew why it seems so architecture dependent... Regardless: damned fine mailer.
