I think you probably need to be using the 'unstable' snapshots, rather
than 'stable' (though I'm not sure exactly what the method behind the
snapshots is).

yes, this 'feature' has been pointed out by Chris Green, a fix isn't
hard. But I've had a mean case of the flu for the last week or so, not
to mention I'm in finals week. sigh...
