Are you using the ever-so-classic approach "Eterm --theme mutt" or starting it
from some menu? Because if so, it most probably starts mutt with the global
defaults, and on my system, those are monochrome. Try starting it directly from
the command line of an Eterm. (and that you've set all the colors up right. :))
