In fact it's worse than that. I was getting my e-mail with fetchmail and without "no mimedecode", so the headers were being misconverted by fetchmail ... It seems that the sender's original header was: From: "=?utf-8?Q?Kalle_XXX=C3=A4?=" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I think this is wrong according to RFC-2047, because of the quotes, but mutt understands it anyway. For the reply, mutt converts it to: To: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Kalle_XXX=E4?= <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> So, how hard is it to display and edit e-mail in UTF-8 with mutt? Edmund
