Well THAT was uncalled for.  :/  

Although I agree that mutt is likely not the problem...I'm running RH 5.2
and colour works fine in 0.95.6i and 0.95.7i.  I installed from
source/tarball though, not the RPMs.  

Check your term type with printenv, and check mutt -v and see if it's
listed as +HAVE_COLOR.
