I don't know; removing tags might destroy some important part of the
message.
I think the best solution would be a filter that changes text/html-only
messages into multipart/alternative messages, with the text/html intact,
for reference, and a "lynx -dump" version for casual reading. Sounds
like a job for emil. :)
