Hi,
I've now used Mutt for a week, and think it's a really great program.
There are, however, some issues that I still haven't figured out how
to do (or if it's possible at all).
I'm using MH at work on a Solaris 2.7 box with MH folders and at home
using mbox folders on a Linux 2.2.5 machine.
1. In the folder index, I would like to be able to see the number of unread
and total number of messages in each folder. Right now I've changed the
list behavior a bit, to just show the status and folder name. The status
flag doesn't work at all on MH folders.
2. Is there a way to assign a key that shows me the folder index directly.
Ie, the same thing as the sequence c, ? and TAB.
3. Is it possible, using the save-hook or something to force a behavior
for just one folder? I have a folder named FIX, and another one named
fixed. I use the FIX folder for incoming mail, that I move manually to
the fixed folder when I'm done with them. Right now I tag the messages,
use ; and s, get a question asking me which folder to put them in with
a suggestion for a folder based on the sender. Is it possible to either
make it always suggest 'fixed', or maybe to skip the question and just
move the mails into 'fixed' automatically?
4. I've set up some fcc hooks for handling mail I send. I've added a default
that moves mails into sent-mail, and a couple of lines moving mails into
other folders based on whom I've sent then to. Now I would like to make it
throw away mails sent to mailinglists (because I receive them myself
anyway). I've tried adding a line like this "fcc-hook ^mymailinglist "",
but it makes no difference.
5. Is it possible to skip the fcc question when sending mail? (do you want
to save this message?).
Regards,
Staffan Hämälä
