Okay. I was confused by the mention of the "main menu" in the
description of the $timeout variable in the mutt manual. It says
"Mutt will wait for a key to be pressed in the main menu". Does
this timeout apply anywhere in mutt? Or just in the index or
pager? Perhaps the docs could be revised to state this more
clearly.

Also, I noticed that when mail arrives in the spoolfile, I get an
error message, "Mailbox was externally modified. Flags may be
wrong." Is that normal? Any way to get rid of that message? If
it's normal, I won't worry about it.

Thanks!
John
