I hoped to hear that, it does make sense.  In fact it's just about
adding some comment to the header without fiddling with the contents.

Real need?  of course not, I wouldn't expect anyone left counting years
in the old Roman Empire's way (though other non-christian cultures do
have different dates).  Having said that, there's usually no real need
for most X-headers either.
