You need to use mutt's internal pager for that to work (since there aren't
any embedded attributes for those fields actually *in* the message text,
"less" can't possibly know what you want).

There are *many* other good reasons, and features available only when using
the internal pager.

Add the folders to a "mailboxes" list in your .muttrc file.

Depending on how your system is configured, what kind of filesystem your
mailbox files are on, etc, you may also need to build mutt with the
--enable-buffy-size  turned on when you run ./configure.
