I am struggling to to set up Mutt as my mail replacement for elm and hope someone here could give me a hand.... Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Precedence: bulk (BTW this is under OS/2 - not sure how much difference this makes) The specific problem I have is in getting the headers formatted correctly by sendmail. Elm uses an number of configuration files which I managed to set up a few years ago and have work fine since. Somehow I can't get mutt to format the headers the same way and end up with an unknown mailer error when sendmail tries to deliver mail to a remote host. Here are the differently formatted headers:- [elm] P30200 T916692393 DdfUAA008.27 MDeferred: Name server: pipex.net: host name lookup failure $_john@localhost [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] HReceived: by bradnet (IBM OS/2 SENDMAIL VERSION 2.02/2.0) id UAA008.27; Mon, 18 Jan 1999 20:46:33 GMT H?M?Message-Id: <199901182046.UAA008.27@bradnet> HDate: Mon, 18 Jan 99 20:46:31 +0000 HFrom: John Poltorak <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> HSubject: test HTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] HReply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] HX-Mailer: ELM [version 2.3 PL11] for OS/2 [mutt] P30285 T916692041 DdfUAA008.10 MDeferred: Name server: pipex.net: host name lookup failure $_john@localhost Sjohn [EMAIL PROTECTED] HReceived: by bradnet (IBM OS/2 SENDMAIL VERSION 2.02/2.0) id UAA008.10; Mon, 18 Jan 1999 20:40:41 GMT H?x?Full-Name: IBM OS/2 SENDMAIL VERSION 2.02 HDate: Mon, 18 Jan 1999 20:40:40 +0000 HFrom: John Poltorak <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> HTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] HSubject: test HMessage-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> HMime-Version: 1.0 HContent-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii HX-Mailer: Mutt 0.94.15i HX-Operating-System: OS/2 The major differences are the 'S' line and the 'H?x?Full-Name:' line, one of which I suspect is causing the 'unknown mailer error 1'. Any help would be appreciated... -- John
