Yeah, I was aware of that when making these fixes, but I don't know if it's a "real" problem at this point.
Speculation: Perhaps all this stamp-* mess needs to be replaced by .DELETE_ON_ERROR: so that regeneration works... haven't dug deep though.
Well, if anyone wants to dig into it that would be fine with me.I debated trying to rewrite it, but didn't really want to make drastic changes for a stable release. The other "easy" alternative was switching it back to force-rebuilding all the documentation - despite it being in the release tarball - as it did before.
