OK. Actually I can see that account-hook can be used for that.

The manual is ambiguous by saying:

3.119. imap_user

   Type: string
   Default: (empty)

   The name of the user whose mail you intend to access on the IMAP
                                                           ^^^
   server.

"the" meaning that there is only one IMAP server.
