#3827: U+200F RIGHT-TO-LEFT MARK in Subject yields a blank line with GNU Screen and incorrect arrow cursor position -----------------------+---------------------- Reporter: vinc17 | Owner: mutt-dev Type: defect | Status: new Priority: critical | Milestone: Component: display | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: -----------------------+----------------------
Comment (by vinc17): The patch seems to work. The writing direction may still be inconsistent in mlterm, but this may be due to mlterm's support for bidi text when it encounters Hebrew characters; this is not worse than the previous behavior anyway. This this patch, characters no longer mysteriously disappear with some terminal widths, which was a problem with both xterm and mlterm. Note: for the headers, I suggest also to ignore these bidi marks instead of replacing them with a replacement character. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.mutt.org/trac/ticket/3827#comment:10> Mutt <http://www.mutt.org/> The Mutt mail user agent
