This most often happens on an unattended mutt (i.e. I'm in another virtual desktop for 10 minutes, come back, and it's frozen), so there's no resizing of the terminal. So a SIGWINCH is pretty odd. As for testing without SSL, not with my current setup - I'm not sending my passwords in plain text over the internet.
