Since I desperately wanted the softfill patch on my newly-reinstalled gentoo box I immediately fetched this. A note for the unwary: if you your shiny new mutt reads all the meassages (well, runs the progress counter up) and then segfaults, remove your hcache cache files and try again. Worked for me. I know there's meant to be that checksummed version checking, but it seemed not to be tripped for me. On the topic of the hcache version hash, the Makefile seems slightly broken. If you have a slightly borked environment with an "md5" binary that's not what configure thinks it is (as I did), it will choose it and make a syntacticly invalid HCACHEVER (?) macro. Well fine, my bad. But having tracked this down, deleted the binary etc, I manually modified the shell script (and its .in autoconf precursor). But the .h file with the hash was not rebuilt; I had to remove the .h file to get it rebuilt.
