We would like to extend an invitation to participate in the special task on Formality Control for Spoken Language Translation <https://iwslt.org/2022/formality> organized at IWSLT 2022 <https://iwslt.org/2022/>. This special task invites participants to advance research on controlling formality in machine translation for a diverse set of languages with a focus on zero-shot learning. To advance research in this area, the organizers have provided an annotated dataset and a targeted evaluation metric.
