Sparc is very specific and not so popular platform. I don't have it to 
make any tests. If you could find where trap happens we can try to fix 
it together.

It will not help. System anyway will load all required by modules. You 
can only try to disable some additional functions which use additional 
modules, like vjcomp or tcpmssfix.

You should have:
  - swap partition bigger than amount of RAM;
  - it should be placed on device which supports kernel dumps;
  - you should set something like dumpdev="/dev/ad0s1b" in your rc.conf;

For better debugging possibilities you should build all required modules 
statically into the kernel and build kernel with debug.
