I hear a good few people saying that:
--alt-preset standard
is an excellent option for MP3 encoding using LAME

I wonder if any of you know of any in-depth articles on how this setting is
preferable to:
--r3mix

the quality link from:
http://www.r3mix.net/

has a huge amount of information on why --r3mix is a great option.

I am still using --r3mix as I have yet to see any analysis of --alt-preset
standard that has as much detail as the --r3mix information at
http://www.r3mix.net/

Am I on my own?

many Thanks,
/\/\
