Um, I checked that particular thread again this morning. It still looked
hosed. Then I backed down to build 03-16 and looked at it again. It's
now back in logical thread order, so I don't think it was caused by the
header problem you describe. I'll file a bug, but think I'll stay off
the new mail for a few more days.
