We have received several Talkback reports where users are crashing when
Deleteing, Moving or Copying mail. Bug 41933

From the stack trace in the reports and some comments, it appears this
is happening when Local folders are the target for the action.
This is happening on builds as far back as 09/29/00 to daily builds.
Most frequently in 6.0 and 6.01 builds.
Mostly on Windows 98, some on Win NT 5.0

We have not been able to reproduce this bug. If anyone has experienced
this and can offer some steps to reproduce this would be great. If you
would like to give it a try and if you find something that we could
reproduce that would also be great.

Here is a list of comments we have in the reports:
"deleting some emails" (most of the reports had this type of comment)
"moving mail from one folder to another folder"
"delete some e mails with del-key
"compacting mailboxes"
"Deleting an email. Norton warned me that WScriptKakWorm virus was
detected then Netscape was shut down by Windows 2000"
"Just finished getting mail, deleted one message, reading another"
"I have two problems. This problem occurred while I was trying to file
an e-mail message from imported Outlook messages to my Netscape inbox."

The only scenario above I haven't tried is the one with the
"WScriptKakWorm virus"

And yes, we have tried to contact the reporters of these crashes, not
too many responses yet.

Please reply to this message with suggestions, questions or steps
regarding this request.

Thanks,
Esther
