YOu haven't properly configured your account.
Highlight the news account, and select "EDIT/MAILNEWS ACCOUNT
SETTINGS"
Under the account name, select SERVER.
Change the port to 563, and enable SSL. You will now be able to
access all the accounts on the secure server.
