Recently I've been noticing some erratic behaviour with my POP mail acct in mail/news. I check my mail on my Windows machine and I see 3 messages that get filtered into a folder. I come to office and check my mail on my Linux machine and I see just one mail filtered into the folder. (I have 'Leave messages on Server' enabled). Scratched my head a little bit and then went in to look at the folder text file in Mail/<popserver> directory. I opened the file as a text file and I see that the three mails are actually in the file. The reason they weren't being displayed was that the X-Mozilla-Status field in the header was 0000 for the two mails mails. I changed the status field to 0001 and then I could see the mails again in mail/news. I've noticed this with other filters/folders too. Mails bcced to myself didn't show up in the Sent folder like expected (I have a filter for that). Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Its seems to be a filters problem because mails in my Inbox get delivered properly. Pratik.
