In the upcoming on-line session of the informal "Minnesota global birders"
group, Paul Budde and Howard Towle will give a presentation on their trip
to northern Colombia earlier this year.  The Santa Marta and Perija
mountain ranges of the north are separated from the rest of the Andes,
which has led to a large number of endemic  species, contributing to
Colombia having the most species of birds of any country.
