Tuesday afternoon, Judy Chucker and I found a Snowy Owl easily visible from
the Hogback Ridge trail, just east of the Hwy 77 bridge.

The well-barred female owl moved to a grassy spot a bit further east of Hwy
77 and closer to the marshy island. A female Northern Harrier buzzed the
owl but she held her ground. She was sitting in a clump of grasses on the
ice when we left at 3:30pm
