2 buff breasted sandpipers currently in the grass on the north west shore of purgatory creek wetlands in Hennepin county. They've been a bit flighty in the wind gusts and moving around the small point sometimes.
The water level here has stayed low and has been hosting a encouraging number of peeps the past couple days. Other shorebirds seem to be hanging farther back in the area today, maybe the boardwalk on the west side has more.
