Hello Everyone! If you added a rare bird to your life or state list this
year, consider nominating the person who found that bird for the Theodore
Voelker Award. If you know someone who has devoted many volunteer hours to
help birds or birders this year, consider nominating that person for the
Volunteer of the Year Award. Do you know a young birder whose involvement
in birding and bird-related organizations stands out? Consider nominating
that person for the Young Birder Award. How about the birder who you’ve
admired for years, who maybe mentored you, who has made a name for
themselves in bird-related endeavors? Consider nominating that person for
the Roberts Award. Nominations are due next week, October 22. Thanks from
the MOU Awards Committee (and the people that you nominate)! Please send
nominations to Susan Elliott at honeywarb...@gmail.com. More information
about the Awards can be found at https://moumn.org/awards.html.
