The Long-tailed Jaeger was still present until 6:30 pm. By that time essentially all the gulls had disappeared to the south; the jaeger gingerly soared in that direction and had not returned by 6:45 (when I soared home to the south).
I think I read or heard that it had also flown to the south at least one prior evening.
