Wasn't sure if you all had heard. Twenty-one years of doing these reports. What
a wonderful service.

I wonder if someone else will step in.

Subject: WINTER FINCH FORECAST - Announcement

Dear Birders,

I regret to announce that I have decided to retire from doing the annual
Winter Finch Forecast. It was a difficult decision to make after doing them
for 21 consecutive years. I thank all my correspondents who contributed to
the forecasts over the years. It would have been impossible to make reliable
forecasts without such an extensive network of observers. I am sincerely
grateful to all my loyal readers of the forecast and your enthusiastic
interest in winter finches.

Enjoy the finches this fall and winter,

Ron Pittaway
