Currently there are three rusty blackbirds (2 male, 1 female?) and two red-
winged blackbirds (1 male, 1 female) in Salem Twp. They are on the road that
leads to the Goose Lake access on Mud Goose WMA. Where CR 52 and CR 65
intersect, go north on FR 2780. There is a corn field on the east side. There
are trees on the west side. After about 1/4 -1/2 mile the trees give way to a
corn field on the west. The birds are sitting on the edge of the corn/trees.
I
saw a group of blackbirds in this same location about two weeks ago, but was
unable to stop to ID them.
