Highlights:
1 GGOW (Great Gray Owl)—cooperative bird on McDavitt Rd

2 NHOW (Northern Hawk Owl)—one on McDavitt near abandoned house N of bog 
section, one on Owl Ave near first bend S of Arkola/CR52

2 STGR (Sharp-tailed Grouse)—one on Stickney 1/2 mi N of Arkola/CR52

1 BAOW (Barred Owl)—hunting in day

1 BBWO (Black-backed Woodpecker)—on McDavitt S logging Rd, W side

10 BOCH (Boreal Chickadee)—2 on Nichols Lk Rd a couple miles W of US53, 3 at 
Admiral Rd feeders, 5 on McDavitt

6 EVGR (Evening Grosbeak)—all at a feeder on Nichols Lk Rd fire#8803? When 
coming from the east, it is the first house on the left after skirting the lake.

30 WWCR (White-winged Crossbill)—somewhere on Poplar Rd

1 RECR (Red Crossbill)—with the WWCR

0 ROPI (Rock Pigeon)—yes!


Lowlights:
Missing CORE (Common Redpoll)—only 4th time in 28 years

2 PIGR (Pine Grosbeak)—Never missed before in 27 years...but we came close this 
year!

Missing RLHA (Rough-legged Hawk)—all must have "flown the coop" after the deep 
snows arrived.

Missing SNBU (Snow Bunting)—seen only a few days before.
