I am no way a computer guy who understands programs and the way how websites work. I usually try and try till I get frustrated then I usually decide to not use the programs.
For example I tried to post photos on recently seen or on showcase and my images are so small because I try to get the size of the photo under the limit of 110 K bytes and when I see other photographers images they are a lot larger than mind but still under the image max. size. How do you do it are there any directions to follow? I wish the creators of the MOU site would post directions on how to use all these programs rather than just stick programs on the MOU site with no directions on how to actually use the programs. I sent emails on how to use the new breeding maps for the seasonal reports and I got no response from the person I needed help. So I had to play around with the site till I figured it out but I am sure if I use it would be wrong. I hope when the Breeding Atlas website is finished there will be complete directions on how to use it rather than just stick it on some server and let people figure it out for themselves. Like EBird I would like to use it but I do not understand it and there are no directions to use it, so I decided to hell with it. I am sure its a great tool but the tool is only as good if people like me who lack computer skills no how to use it. I would like to use the MOU seasonal report online but again I do not how to use so why bother with something with no directions on how to use it. I am sure there are many MOU members like myself that are clueless with computer programs and when you try and fail every time in getting your data submitted, eventually you get frustrated and decide " this is not worth the trouble " So instead of responding to me on what instructions I need, the creators of the MOU website should post directions on how to use the programs. I am sure more people would use it if they had instructions on how to use them.
