Was thrilled to find the Harper's VARIED THRUSH in a flock of robins and
waxwings at 3:25 PM Tuesday.
I arrived at the site (Roseville intersection of County C2 and Merrill) in
light rain at 2:25 PM. Didn't see a single bird in any of the three crab apple
trees on the NW corner for the first half hour. At 2:55 PM a flock of robins
and cardinals moved into the area. When the flocks come in they use the taller
trees on the south side of Merrill as a staging area for raids on the crab
apples across the street. With bino I found our lxoreus naevius perched among
a flock of waxwings in these taller trees.

Thanks to all who reported their sightings.
