Drove Sherburne Refuge's Auto Tour this morning. Three species (seen & heard).
Three. Bald Eagles, Bluejays, Tree Sparrows. Ten total birds. Sigh. Such is the nature of nature, of change, of high winds and low temperatures, of winter. Sometimes adaptation is gradual, sometimes dramatic. Time to adjust. Time to chase winter finches, see if they'll invade central MN. Seen any laden conifers lately? Al Schirmacher Princeton, MN Mille Lacs & Sherburne Counties (Glad to hear Ann Lake's Solitaire made another appearance.)
