Led a youth tour along Blue Hill Trail yesterday, highlights included both
the previously reported Hooded and a Cerulean Warbler (seen by Paul
Lender/note his MNBird post, and my son, Nathan - naturally the guide missed
it!). If one enjoys hybrids, there was a Brewster's in the front, open part
of trail (two note call) - and a Lawrence's (bizarre 5-7 note call,
beginning with the emphatic buzz) on the back side, just after one clears
the coniferous woods.

Also had an unexpected Sanderling (county bird) working the shore of the St.
Francis River where it intersects with CR 5 (2-3 miles north of the CR 5 & 9
intersection).

Good birding to all!
