I observed an Olive-sided Flycatcher this afternoon at Chaska Lake in almost the exact location I observed one during this past fall migration. It was in an area of dead trees on the south side of the lake. The Connecticut Warbler was in the woodlands along the trail as you're heading towards the lake from Chaska. Also, a small group of 6 pelicans were at the lake. Besides that, there were a few warbler species, Catbirds, a swarm of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, an Oriole, Great-crested Flycatcher, and Indigo Buntings.
At Carver Park, I was able to find 14 warbler species this morning. From Craig's list of the MRVAC walk yesterday, I did not see the Mourning Warbler or the Ovenbird. Somebody else mentioned that they saw an Ovenbird there today. Other than that, I saw nothing different than that listed on the MRVAC walk.
