Yesterday afternoon, at about 4:30 I stepped out onto the second story deck of our downtown building and was surprised by a low flying Merlin. It must have been hunting the alley because it flew right up and over the deck barely 15 feet over my head!
At 6:30 pm I stopped at the Bemidji Slough south of town on Hwy 71. Present where Canada Geese, Mallard, Blue-winged Teal, possible Green-winged Teal, Pied-billed Grebe and Red-winged Blackbirds Kelly Larson Bemidji, MN
