I believe this is a "1st winter" White-crowned Sparrow that I photographed
last night at Crane Lake (northern St Louis County). Please let me know if
that is not correct. He was with a group of White-throated Sparrows, and he
really seemed to be enjoying the cherry tomato from my garden.
