Chet Meyers writes: Birded in the rain today. The Jirik sod farm road is still under construction and no buff-breasted sandpipers were present. No fields stripped, so no other shorebirds. 180th marsh all but dried up. Interestingly 140th marsh, which had too much water in it a while ago, is now prime. Only a few birds today but it should be good this week after the rain ends and some more shorebirds come down. It's about time for something interesting to show up. Chet Meyers
