Sherburne Refuge & close by: four Greater White-fronted Geese (personally unusual sighting in county), single Tundra Swan among eight Trumpeters (size differential very obvious), ten duck species (many ponds still frozen) - best spots are the farmers field where CR 70 turns south and at the CR2 ponds.
Mille Lacs County (southern): two Rusty Blackbirds today, single Harrier, Eastern Phoebe, generally quieter than Sherburne NWR. Observed a single dark lizard crossing Sherburne CR 5 on Wednesday, but am clueless as to identity. Al Schirmacher Princeton, MN Mille Lacs & Sherburne Counties
