Hi

I started with Services today - the end goal being to launch a service that
will run as a separate process, then bind it when my app starts, and unbind
when it closes. While experimenting, I inadvertently started a service in a
separate process that seems to linger around (desired behavior... but it had
a bug so now while I can bind, it doesn't do what it's supposed to). Now
normally I'd go into settings, Apps, and look at the running apps, and
Android would show me what's running and who's running separate services and
allow me to kill them.

With my M4A app though, it doesn't show up in the list of running apps, so
the only way to terminate that service, is to find a better task manager
(suggestions anyone? the default Samsung Taskmanager on my S3 doesn't cut it
either), or reboot the phone. I see my app as a downloaded app and can
uninstall or clear all its data, but shouldn't it show up in the list of
running apps (after all it does show up in the task manager).

Any ideas on how I can get my m4a apps to show up in the standard running
apps list?

Regards
Stephan
