I got this reply from Xamarin Support: It looks like the product is being activated against TeamViewer VPN software and not an actual networking device, so from time to time your VPN software may change the MAC address it is using, causing your license the to need re-activating.
Maybe this could be useful? Although I had this problem at home and I had no TeamViewer installed. I may have had an old version of a VirtualBox or VMware installed...
