I see. Not used for so much help so got a bit confused...
Dialog uses words like: New and latest...
So got carried away
Tools->Options->Mono for Android->Check for updates
I did not realize this was the intended behavior of our update
service. In the future, I won't put the msi link for beta updates
into the release notes, so that people only get it if they have asked
for beta updates.

For me it is OK. I'm trying to resolve other issue with F5 (Start
Debugging) disappearing,
so I installed, removed, ccleaned 4.0.1 several times and gave a shot
with 4.0.3.
We are not under pressure, learning and trying to give You feedback
along the way...
If you do indeed want to go back to 4.0.1, you will need to remove
4.0.3 first in Add/Remove Programs.
