Hi all. I feel ignorant posting this question, but I cannot get the example Android app to work.
I downloaded Xamarin, installed everything fine, then using this page: http://docs.xamarin.com/android/getting_started/hello_world I followed the instructions, and created a new Mono For Android Application. When I run the simple app, a pop-up tells me that I am in a trial mode and need to choose an emulator. I do so (MonoForAndroid_API_10), and when the emulator pops up, all it says is "ANDROID" on the screen with a blinking cursor. I don't see the GUI that is shown on the Hello, Android tutorial page.
