The debugger changes only affect Visual Studio so far, so this is probably just the placebo effect sinking in. :) In VS, are you trying to debug on the emulator or a device? I doubt we'll ever get debugging running very smoothly on the current emulator, as nothing runs smoothly on the emulator.
