Then this is quite old news.... A lot happened since beginning of May... Novell abandoning Mono certainly hurt Mono because the speed of catching after .net on Windows will be decreased, but this decision seems like Sepukku/Harakiri will hurt Novell eventually. SuSE Linux and Mono were quite good and stable products.
Mono is open source and community keeps on working on it, not as fast as with Novell, but work is still done. I'm subscribed to 2 mailing lists mono-aspnet and monodroid and there is pretty much going on regardless this vacuum and uncertainty.
