No it is not, but You have several options
* could have SQLServer on other Windows based host or
* switch to other database available on Linux (MySQL, Postgres, etc...)
And we would plan to use the database may be on a host machine and try to
access it from Mono on LINUX. Is it possible to do it?
Yes it is. Connections string pointing to db host machine.
Since I am new to working on cross platform, I may be sounding as a
clay-man. Forgive me for that.
